The Affordable Garden Art Exhibition showcases sculpture in all media and styles by emerging and established British artists, many from Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. All work is for sale. There are more than 150 pieces by over 80 artists.

Petersfield Physic Garden is a private garden which is open to the public without charge, providing a green oasis in the centre of town. It is a garden created in a 17th Century style with distinct parts laid out for different purposes.

The Garden Show at Firle Place is an annual springtime event set in the beautiful surroundings of Firle Estate, in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Set over three days, it features specialist growers, garden related goods, artisan designs, homeware products, fashion accessories & delicious country foods. There are daily talks, activities for young & old, expert advice and a variety of music & entertainment.
This event, one of our largest, will be held mainly in floored marquees within the beautiful surroundings of RHS Garden Wisley so visitors will be able to view and purchase contemporary craft and art whilst also enjoying the beautiful spring garden with its huge plant collection. Once again, alongside the marquees displaying and selling the work of some of the UK’s finest designer makers, the event will incorporate demonstrating artists, a food village and live music!

Both these events offer the public a calibre of exhibitor rarely seen at other fairs, offering a perfect opportunity to see outstanding work and craftsmanship from these talented British makers.

The Desire Jewellery & Silversmithing Fair offers a stunning collection and unrivalled choice of contemporary jewellery and stylish silverware. Regularly receiving widespread acclaim from visitors and the media for the diverse range on offer and the quality of the items available to purchase, the exhibitors have all been selected for their superb and innovative design and craftsmanship as well as outstanding quality.The fair offers a huge variety of unusual and original designs to suit all tastes and across a wide price range. These leading designer makers will also create bespoke pieces for those wishing to commission work.
Little Duck Forge submitted “Mothers a munitionette” for the Transition Exhibition organised by the British Artist Blacksmith Association. Munitionettes manufactured cordite and TNT during the First World War.
In September 2016, a striking new World War 1 Peace Monument was created at the Grote Markt, in front of the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, Belgium and is now located adjacent to the German War Cemetery at Langemark Poelkapelle.
The British Artist Blacksmiths Association (BABA) organised Transition, a major international touring exhibition of contemporary forged metal design, opened in September 2016 at the Kazematten, Ypres, Belgium to coincide with the ‘Ypres 2016’ International Blacksmithing Event.
The Canary Girls were British women who worked in munitions manufacturing (TNT) shells during the First World War (1914–1918). It was not only the UK’s female munitions workers that were affected by the TNT, but also the babies that were born to them. Hundreds of “Canary Babies” were born with a slightly yellow skin colour because of their mothers’ exposure to dangerous chemicals in the munitions factories during World War One. Nothing could be done for the babies at the time, but the discolouration slowly faded with time. [1]
